I’m the culture editor at guillotine :)
What does that mean? A culture editor is a person interested in punk/riot girl and enjoys writing about it whether that be film, fashion, tv, beauty, or art! I also help collect and edit works from other people interested in submitting :) Basically if you need someone to proof read and edit an article I’m ur girl!

Some of my favorite bands are….Cage the elephant, verruca salt, The Clash, Mars Argo, and alt-j! I love movies (especially sci-fi)!!!!!!! Some of my favorites are…The Shinning, Blackkklasman, Starwars, The Truman show, and Rear Window! I make jewelry, love knitting, and wear a lot of skirts lol, also I’m an Aries! My pronouns are she/her. I’m bilingual and speak English+Italian! I’m very spiritual, and love talking about philosophy and all that jazz :))

my full name is Na’Lea but I go by Lea or Lilo and I am a writer for guilloteen mag! I am a cat person, my Myersbrig personality type is ISTP, I’m a Slytherin, my preferred color is any shade of green, and a Gemini. I love to read, my favorite authors are Stephen king, Patrick Ness, Maggie Stiefvater, and Lemony Snicket. I also love baking, I enjoy baking espresso cupcakes the most. I am a caffeine fiend, to the point where my loved ones have banned me from drinking coffee due to my stifling addiction. I am pretty sporty too, I play tennis, soccer, and run mid distance for track. Or to briefly describe myself: I am sort of like a cat, I am attracted to patches of sunlight, I sleep in the day more than the night, and I tend to reject physical affection unless I am the one initiating it

hi! i’m emily haddad and am a photographer here at guilloteen. both digital and film photography is something i really enjoy and i am excited to be able to make a difference with it and put myself out there. i am also very passionate about history, enjoy playing guitar, and love listening to music.

My name is Demeter. I’m a senior in high school and the politics editor for Guilloteen! I’m a youth organizer in Los Angeles and I love poetry, art, and music. I teach poetry in LA, and most of the time you can probably find me reading, listening to podcasts, or dancing around my room. I’m a capricorn sun, leo moon, and cancer rising—and can probably talk about astrology for hours on end. You can get in contact with me at @demetersbugjar on most platforms. Hi !! I'm Maisy and I'm the founder / editor in cheif at guilloteen !!! I love all things glitter and I really like doing funky makeup and making cool clothes!!! My favorite band is probably the regrettes but that tends to change constantly. I am super duper excited for you to see what Guilloteen has in store for u :)

hello hello! i’m kiki (they/them) and i’m guilloteen’s music editor! i’m starting my first year of college and i love all things music, art & film. you can usually find me awake at all hours of the night, consuming ungodly amounts of caffeine, listening to podcasts, watching movies, reading anarchist literature, and making playlists. some of my favorite bands/artists are talking heads, kate bush, sleater-kinney, the cure, sidney gish, and the raincoats. i also love studying obscure history, researching cryptids, writing letters, and collecting old keys. you can find me on the internet in various places: @kikiimichaela on ig and twitter.

Hi! My name is Maya and I’m a writer for Guilloteen. I love riot grrl music, Dungeons and Dragons, watching movies, and doodling absolutely everywhere. In my free time I make my own comics! My biggest inspirations are from cartoons, comics like the Paper Girls series, and my weird friends.

Hello! My name is Tora and I use she/hers pronouns. I am the social media manager for Guiloteen. All time favorite artists are Grimes, L7, and Christian Death. legalities
To our contributors:
Like everything else in our world, we have some legal language about your participation in our ‘zine. When we write “’zine” we mean specifically Guilloteen (or any other title we may end up using). When we write “you” we mean specifically the person creating and submitting the work. This includes (but is not necessarily limited to) the following:
1) You agree that you are the owner of the submission, and that you have the full authority over it to allow us to publish it;
2) You agree that you are submitting it without any expectation of compensation, and that we have not indicated in any way that you’ll be paid for the work;
3) You agree that for the purposes of publishing your work in this ‘zine, which may be distributed in any media (on-line, on paper, in a video, etc.), you give those rights to us (in other words, you are allowing us to use your work for free, and that you are allowing us to use it in furtherance of our stated editorial mission);
4) We agree that we will not use your work for any purpose other thanincluding it in our ‘zine and for purposes of publicizing it;
5) We are not obligated to use your submission, and neither are you obligated to send us your work, but once you have, and once we have approved it for publication, it is ours for this purpose;
6) You agree that we can make changes to the work only for editorial purposes (copy editing, not for content), and for reasons of placement and fit into the design of our ‘zine;
7) We agree that we will not change the stated editorial intent of our ‘zine, and that if it does change, we will notify you and you’ll have the opportunity to withdraw your work (i.e., if we all of a sudden want to publish a magazine about cars, we will let you know and give you the chance to take back what you sent); and lastly,
8) This list is not all-inclusive, and that other standard terms and conditions used by web sites and/or magazines in print apply to the ‘zine and to you.
